DEFINITIONS
ACSA means
the Airports Company of South Africa
Operators
means all ACSA accredited public transport operators operating from JIA
by means of sedan taxis or minibus shuttles.
The Company means
Itram (Pty)Ltd, the public transport management company appointed by ACSA
to manage and control the provision of public transport undertaken by
sedan taxis or minibus shuttles, departing from Johannesburg International
Airport.
2. LEGAL PROVISIONS
Passengers
attention is directed to the fact that public passenger transport is undertaken
subject to and in compliance with the requirements contained in the Road
Traffic Act (Act No 29 of 1969) the Road Transportation Act (Act No 74
of 1977) and other applicable legislation.
3. TICKETS
Passengers must be in possession of a valid ticket purchased
at an Itram Kiosk located in Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4 or on the ground
level of the Multi-Storey Parkade next to the Airport Sun International
Hotel.
Upon
boarding a vehicle the passenger must advise the driver of the required
destination. The ticket will indicate the destination and must be handed
to the to the driver upon boarding the vehicle. The driver will retain
section 2 of the ticket for trip record purposes.
A ticket is invalidated by defacing or by any alteration to the printed
wording. The passenger must retain his/her ticket until completion of
the journey in order to ensure protection under the Conditions of Carriage.
The passenger must at all times during the duration of the journey, including
point of departure and final destination, be in a position to present
the ticket on demand, to the companys officials, failing which the
lawful cash fare must be paid. (A passenger who, for any reason, is not
able to produce a ticket for the whole of the journey, on which he or
she is traveling, shall be liable to prosecution.)
